One 2 One / One To One:

Louise Reny (voc), Leslie Howe (key). -- Popduo. Lernten sich in Ottawa, Kanada, während des Mathematik-Studiums kennen, wurden von den Managern der Rockband "Saga" entdeckt. Ab 1981 sporadische Zusammenarbeit und gemeinsame musikalischen Projekte (Mainstream). Ihr Debüt-Album "Forward Your Emotions" (1985) wurde in London und München eingespielt, erreichte in Kanada Spitzenplätze in den Top 10.  Ihre Debüt-Single war "There Was A Time", in Deutschland erzielten sie damit erste Achtungserfolge. Die 2. Singleauskopplung "Angel In My Pocket" war in Deutschland jedoch erfolgreicher, der ganz große Durchbruch gelang hier allerdings nicht.

"One To One"  galten zu dieser Zeit als das wohl begabteste Pop-Duo diesseits und jenseits des Atlantiks. "Forward Your Emotions" war ein ausgereiftes Pop-Album, daß sich vom nordamerikanischen Schlager Einerlei abhob. Hier und da ein Hauch Abba-Reminiszenz, dann wieder Erinnerungen an Euro-Bands wie Talk Talk, jedoch unverwechselbar durch die Stimme von  Louise Reny.

Leslie Howe war auch Schreiber des Projektes "PILEDRIVER", das sich über 250000 mal verkaufte, wurde vom KERRANG! Magazine zum "besten Album 1985" erkoren und ist bis heute das kultigste Stück Heavy Metal (ja, Ihr lest richtig), welches man besitzen kann. Louise Reny schrieb die Texte. Beide waren auch 1991 für Alanis Morissette tätig, Leslie wurde als Songschreiber und Produzent weltweit berühmt.
